Ventilation quality and international standards

Δευτέρα, 30 Νοεμβρίου 2020

Air quality for acceptable ventilation conditions and the supply of fresh air are determined by international standards and regulations with clear instructions for each type / use of building. International standards such as the ASHRAE Standard 55-2013 for acceptable indoor air quality and the ASHRAE Standard 62.1 & 62.2 for ventilation conditions with extensive panels for all categories and uses of buildings and panels for the dimensioning of air ducts provide a reliable guide to designers -engineers in order to ensure adequate and proper ventilation as well as acceptable air quality. Proper ventilation and air quality means ensuring hygienic conditions and preventing the transmission of viruses and bacteria as well as preventing the formation of mold and moisture. Other standards are the CIBSE Guide B2, the German standard VDI 6022, the European standard EN15251: 2006 as well as the Greek technical instructions such as Τ.Ο.Τ.Ε.Ε. 20701-1 / 2017.
